How To Kill Revenants With Ease!
Have you ever had problems with revenants in high level wildy? Or have you ever wanted to kill revenants but didn’t know what to take and what to expect from them in return? Well I’ve got the answers for you in this guide and much more!
First of all, revenants no matter what type or level will attack with all 3 styles of combat (mage range and melee). They can freeze you with range, tele block with you mage and hit pretty hard with melee. They can also poison you for 8 damage. Rev knight for example can hit 30s with all types of combat so no matter your level if you get a few on you expect a bit of trouble if your not quick at eating. Always weigh up the odds before running into a group of revs in multi combat areas such as near the agility course in high wildy.
The levels of revenants vary from level 7 imp to a level 135 dragon. The most common revs I’ve found are orks which are level 105 and knights which are 126. You don’t need an anti fire shield for the level 135 dragon as some people have thought. In my whole revenant hunting experience, I have only found 1 or 2 rev dragons, most of the time while runecrafting in the abyss.
Below is the inventory I take for them, with this inventory I just killed a rev knight and chaos elemental together while helping my friend do their clue scroll while only using 7 sharks, while using piety the whole time so used half a super restore potion as well.

the holy wrench is for the extra prayer points, and lowered rate of prayer drain.
The potions are 2 super restore, 1 super anti poison and a super set (attack, strength and defence). Below is the equipment I take for rev hunting.

the ring is jennica's ring from summer end, it gives more rewards from revs when you kill them and allows you to teleport through portals if you need to.
I take the karils armour because it gives a decent all round defence and doesn’t cost too much. You can swap the fury amulet for a salve amulet if you like, as revs are undead so the bonus’ will work on them. If you don’t want to risk that much cash on the items I have above, you can use black dhide instead of the karils, mage arena cape instead of skill cape, and other stuff like that.
Not many people bother with revenants and just run away from them. The best thing they drop is a DDS or drag dagger p++ I think, although I’ve always only got coins. I find them to be fun to do when I’m bored or whenever a friend wants help with wildy clues. If you want to hunt them always go in high wilderness as there are a few hotspots for them as I’ve found when I did a 2-3hr hunting trip with my mate one night. Some of the hotspots are: rune rocks, greater demon ruins, pirates hut, chaos elemental, agility course, rouges castle, mage arena bank and the lever from ardy. I will list more if I found some.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this guide more helpful, or if you just want to ask for help with a wildy clue or just some general questions about this guide. Leave a comment and I’ll try to help you if I can.
Thanks and good luck with your revenant hunting.

A nice guide on Rev hunting Delarue64.
I tend to run from them most times, but have stopped to kill them sometimes. I found it frustrating that they heal so much too, but using piety, as you mentioned, might help kill them quicker.

Thanks.
yeah the piety seems to help when they go in the healing stage, although I don’t recommend using it all the time, in case you have to run later on. It does come in handy if you get multi’d on though
I use to run from them til I learnt how to kill them with that equipment.

Yea ofc i like the chaos ele spot, we allways seem to get attacked my rev’s while fighting the ele ;P.
March 12th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
Yeah was always fun at the ele spot, makes it more challenging lol. It was normally between spawns of ele that we got attacked I thought though, although sometimes it was while we fought him but not that often. Oh well, looking forward to our rev hunting trip again

Just thought of another tip that might help with reverent hunting, take a anti drag shield in case you run into dragons in the wildy, as they can kill you pretty quickly if your not careful. Hope that helps.

im only a lv 75 think i could take out some vamps? “-”
July 4th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Yeah you could take out some, but be careful of multi areas or high wildy, got jumped by bout 4 rev knights a few days ago while doing a clue scroll. Managed to get away luckily though.
remember to run if the odds turn in their favour though. Good luck with your hunting roadkill.

im a pro rev hunter. im level 85. if u wanna own u need to have AT LEAST: 65 ranged. 60 mage. 60 attack. 60 def and 60 str. pots are good. they boost u up. always use sharks on rev hunts. they heal 20. and if ur rich, lets say u have 100mil, go buy maybe 2000 sharks. =D i recommend using obby maul, ranged and melee, mage >.<

hey all, A few days ago i was with a friend and we decided to go to ele, well i did he followed, I find ele is allways a good spot for revs but it is very high risk hunting revs there for obvious reasons, Also as the ele seems to like taking off your armour you can die easily, taking a spinner/bunyip pouch is very helpful
*yes i did die too but shh
*

Yeah chaos ele was fun
atleast we didn’t lose anything lol.
I reckon they must have done a hidden update to make ele stronger, cause it seems to hit more often, or it could just be my luck, although I got 4 hit the other day =/

thanks for all this info but can u also tell the ways to kill revs in f2p too?
May 12th, 2010 at 5:58 pm
I’ve never personally hunted revs in f2p, but I would suggest taking green dragonhide body chaps and vambraces, power ammy, rune scimmy and rune kite, coif or rune full helm and the boots from the security stronghold. Hope this helps, will have a try at f2p rev hunting soon and let you know how I go.

I have encountered some revenants in F2P mostly orks… It was an intense battle.. I was wearing green runecrafting robes bottom, hat, gloves, Rune plate body, Stronghold fighting boots, ammy of power and I was using low level mage. The revenant Used range and mage becouse of the distance. He didnt hit much with range or mage. But I guess that’s becouse of my defence level… Though my mage level is low. Either way. I was near the Clan Wars FFA portal.. Just incase.

i’ve never foight a revenant mostly because i am to scared to try, i dont have alot of cash(85k) because i got hacked and they spent all of my money on dragon arrows which will not sell!! I am cmb level 72 with 60 attk 60 str 57 def 50 mage and 33 ranged, do you think i could kill a revenant?
December 31st, 2010 at 5:38 pm
You can, but might not be worth trying, only get little amounts of cash from drops if your lucky. Usually spend more then you make, might be better off with green dragons or something like that.
March 10th, 2011 at 8:41 pm
well now you can’t really use any of them guides since they have moved them into a multi pvp area which really isn’t worth going to unless you have a team or take 3 items with full shark it’s about 85% there will always be some one there waiting to attack but i guess the drops are more worth it for members only not sure about f2p.
