September 12, 2010 By: BRT Cj Category: General Runescape No Comments →

Hello all, I made the clan chat originally for the 99 slayer hunting party, but we never got round to doing that event, so I have opened up the clan chat now so we can help people in game. Feel free to drop in and say hi, or ask questions or just to hang out.

Any spamming or breaking of runescape rules will not be tolerated.

The clan chat is “Bestrunetips”.

The Grand Exchange Update

November 28, 2007 By: BRT Cj Category: General Runescape, Runescape News 3 Comments →

Recently Jagex have created the grand exchange which is located just north west of the west bank in varrock. It is a very useful update and one of the best I have seen so far. It allows you to put items in or bid for items you would like to buy for the market prices and do stuff that you need to do instead of standing around and trying to buy or sell the items. I found it to be very useful when I was after some nature runes for the yew longs I made.

It is also good for buying items that take ages to find in world 2 or 1 such as trimmed armour and items like that. To start using it you have to talk to the tutor near the bottom of the grand exchange which can be found where the question mark on the mini map is. Then you click on the exchange clerk near the middle of that area. Then if you are selling some items click on one of the boxes and click sell, click on the item you’re selling then set the price you want and click the accept button. To sell the items, click on one of the empty boxes and click buy, then click on the box that is glowing yellow, and type in the item you are looking for, or part of the items name, set the price and amount you are after.

You will get a message saying that your grand exchange has been updated or something like that. That message lets you know that the items you were trading are completed and ready to be collected. To collect the stuff or check on how its going, just right click on any normal bank and click on the collect option, if your trade has been completed then you can click on the item/items in the box bellow the green bar.

I also found out that there is a bank right next to the clerk that you exchange your items with, so it is very useful for buying supplies for skills such as herblore and fletching without having to move to sell or buy more supplies.

Happy exchanging!

Smokey Well Changes

July 25, 2007 By: BRT Cj Category: General Runescape 2 Comments →

Before in the smokey well, when you had private chat on split screen ( appearing in the runescape window) you couldn’t see what your friends had written because of the smokey effects, but now it seems to be that the chat goes over the top of the smoke making it more easier to see what your friends have wrote to you.

New Skill Sounds

July 09, 2007 By: BRT Cj Category: General Runescape, Runescape News 3 Comments →

Has anyone else been having problems with their sound effects option? My friend was having problems with the sound effect option, as when he put the area sound one on it acted like it was the normal sound effect one, but when he turned the sound effect one on it didn’t work. If anyone else has been having problems with it let us know and we’ll try and think of a way to fix it.

Hi there everyone, if you have some information that you would like to share on the bestrunetips web site, then comment here or register on the right hand menu and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If your runescape guide is accepted, then you will get recognized for your efforts (if you want to be recognized, of course).  If you have any suggestions for the site too, they will be greatly appreciated.
