Slaying Warped Tortoises
In this guide I will show how to range them, and the gear I take to melee them as well. I have only ranged these once, but with that task I made about 500k cash from the loot. (NOTE: you have to do the path of glouphrie quest to be able to access these.)
Warped tortoises are 96 combat and give 87 slayer experience each, they attack with melee also have low defence and also re spawn very fast . The spot I use only has 2 tortoises, but it doesn’t have any warped terrorbirds, which can be a pain to deal with. The area is also multi combat so you can take a fighting familiar with you if you like. You have to use the crystal chimes on them to cleanse them, the only way you can damage them. The chimes only work for 1 minute then you have to cleanse them again, normally can kill them in that time because of the low defence though.
To get to the poisoned dungeon you can use the spirit trees to teleport just north east of the entrance. Which is also handy for banking, as you can use to the spirit tree to teleport to grand exchange and back again for the next load.
The first method I’ll show is the ranging method. This is the safespot I used:

Below is the inventory I used.
very basic inventory, possibly take 2-3 monkfish until you get use to the safe spot.
This is the equipment I used, you could use armadyl or black dragon hide instead of the void.
You could use ranger boots instead of the snakeskin boots I had, didn't make much difference though.
It took me 2 loads to kill around 170 warped tortoises with range, mainly because of the loot I was getting. You could use a war tortoise or another familiar that can carry items to get around that though, like I do with the melee method mentioned below.
This is the melee method. Below is the equipment I used, I borrowed the saradomin godsword.
This was the only melee armour I had at the time, you could use bandos or other melee armours though as they rarely hit.
This is the inventory I took, note that the potions are only (2)’s I was using them up to make bank space, I recommend taking (4)’s if you can.
Again a very basic inventory, you may need more food depending on your armour and defence, I didn't need the monkfish because of the SGS' special.
Warped tortoises drop alot of decent loot including: 1-3 tortoise shells, rune warhammers, rune pickaxes, noted coal and mith ore, swamp tar, law runes cash and a low amount of charms. Below is the loot I got from the range task, note that I made 254k the load before.
Everything that was stackable I kept in the inv when I went back to kill them again. The load before hand was worth 254k including the stackables, it had 4 rune picks, 1 warhammer and 13 shells.
That’s about it for the guide, if you have any questions comments or suggestions for this guide comment below.
