A Quick Way To Get Construction Up Without The Cost

Recently I trained construction up to 69 so that I could make my own gilded altar, I found that cutting my own oak logs and making them into planks myself was very cheap because I didn’t have to spend so much money getting the butler to take the logs to the sawmill for me, or by just buying the planks. A quick way to make planks I found was to catch the balloon from Castle Wars to Varrock, which only required 1 willow log per trip, then use a dueling ring to go back to Castle Wars, (you have to do enlightened journey to be able to use the balloon system). You need to be carrying less then 40kgs to be able to use the balloon, so I found that if you take the cash you need for the lot of planks you are wanting to make, 1 willow log, boots of lightness, spotted cape and 21 oak logs will leave you at 39kgs, although I could not wear the spottier cape, and I have not got myself the penance gloves yet, so if you have them it might come in handy so you can do more planks per load, (each oak log is 2kgs). This method is about 3 times faster then walking from Varrock east bank to the sawmill and back.

Another thing I found when using up your planks, you can use house tele tabs and glory amulets to and from your house so that you don’t have to pay the butler anything to un note all your planks you made, although if you want a quick way of using up your planks you are better off paying your demon butler to un note them, which costs 10k coins per 7-10 trips he does. You should make oak carved tables on your workbench as they require 6 planks to make 1 of them. Your inventory for the table making butler method should have your money for the planks to and from bank, hammer, saw noted planks, and the rest of the inventory empty so that you can have 24 planks in there (which makes 4 carved oak tables). The second method should have hammer, saw, house teleport tablets, glory amulet and the rest full of planks. Oak carved tables give you 360 experience per table made, which means that you make 1440 experience per load.

Hopefully these tips help you if you are looking to get your construction up.

Happy Constructing!
