Runescape Tips And Secrets

Clan chat was a new feature introduced by runescape recently. It can be a useful tool for talking to groups of people, hence the word clan. You do not have to be a member of a clan to use the function though. You can use it with some of your friends. You can set up your channel or you can join other channels.

If you are wondering how to set up your own channel. All you have to do is go onto the clan chat icon which is located next to the friends list in the bottom left corner. Then click on the Clan Setup button, Then it will ask you what you want to call your clan.  Just right click on the white writing to change it to whatever you like. It also has “who can enter chat”, I suggest that if you do not want random people entering your channel that you put this on “any friends”, the same goes for the “who can talk on chat”. It also has “who can kick on chat”, I suggest to start off with that you should select the “only me” option.

If you want to give your friends a ranking in the clan all you have to do is find them on the friends list in the clan chat setup page, then right click the white writing which should be not in clan. This will give you control over how high you want them to be in the channel.

If you want to join another persons chat all you have to do is click the join chat button, then type the owner of the clan chat.  You should then be in, if they allow you to join that is. You should then see message from within that clan chat. To make your own comments, type “/” then begin chatting.

With this month’s “behind the scenes” Runescape mentions that it will be adding “themed” information to the world select screen. This means that people will know where the general mini games servers are rather than searching other sources or world hopping.  While I think it is a great idea in many respects, I feel that the pc clans such as vmc will still be valuable sources to help for better worlds.

This month does not seem to contain a quest, from what I can see, unless it is related to the God Wars Dungeon update that will be held in the wilderness. I hope that a quest is not related to it though, as I hate doing quests in the wilderness.

There is new hair styles coming out. It is good for a change, although I am not really fussed about hair styles.

The clan chat has already started. It started on the 6th August. I will write something about clan chat’s after this post.
